BB4 Studios, the premier Williamsburg studio for mixing, mastering, and tracking, announced that Kiara Mudd has been named Studio Manager.

Mudd comes to BB4 after serving as a General Assistant for the Manhattan-based audio post facility Gramercy Post. While there, she built a portfolio of audio editing and sound design for long form television programs, trailers, and promos for clients including HGTV, Food Network, The Travel Channel, Bravo, Animal Planet, DIY, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

In addition, Mudd is an experienced composer and engineer, building up extensive credits through her co-owned music production company Evo Ent. Through Evo Ent, she has mixed songs that have featured Troy Ave., Raekwon, Kelly Parker, and Graph.

As studio manager at BB4, Mudd oversees all aspects of the studio’s operations, including scheduling, client services, and powering up all appropriate gear prior to each session. Via her extensive engineering background, she also acts as a second engineer during mixing, mastering, or tracking sessions.

“My top priority as studio manager at BB4 is to make our clients feel as comfortable as possible, by preparing beforehand for whatever they might need to make their lives easier while in session,” Mudd says. “I loved the vibe I got from Owner Rafael Planten and Engineer Christos Tsantilis when I met them — I can tell that they were in it for the love of music, and that’s what I’m building my career for as well.

“The sound that we get from BB4’s room is amazing, thanks to the extra mile that Rafael and Christos went to create a new standard for critical listening,” Mudd continues. “From the cables, to the clean power running through the system, and the custom equipment you can really hear the difference. In the end these details make for a better recording, mix and master.”

“Were very glad to have Kiara Mudd join the BB4 team as studio manager,” says Rafael Planten. “Her audio engineering knowledge, commitment to a satisfying client experience, and passion for audio excellence makes her an ideal fit for BB4 Studios.”
